|Meet our Staff
|HOWARD C. WHITE (HC): Howard Coolidge, "HC" White was the owner and director of
White Funeral Home from 1948 until his recent death in January, 2014.
A life-long resident of Nicholas County, Mr. White assumed ownership of the business that had
been founded in 1919 by his parents, Handley and Martha White. Previously he had served in
World War II and attended Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science.
In addition to funeral services, Mr. White also provided ambulance services for more than
twenty-five years prior to emergency medical services being available. He also established White
Funeral Home in Craigsville and operated a funeral home in Richwood for twenty years.
Mr. White considered it a privilege to serve families through funeral services. He took great pride in
giving honor and dignity to the living and the dead in this way. His commitments to family,
community, and country are his legacy.
|TEDDY K. DAY (TED): Mr. Day joined White Funeral
Home in August of 1981 having six years experience employed
at Evans Funeral Home in Oceana, WV. Mr. Day has been a
licensed embalmer and funeral director since 1980. Ted is from
southern West Virginia and currently resides with his wife, Lynn

|BRAD ANDERSON: Brad has purchased White Funeral Home and became the
owner/operator in March of 2015.
Brad worked for Mr. White after he graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in
1998. He worked as a funeral director/embalmer until 2006 when he left for an opportunity to
manage Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home in Fayetteville.
Brad and his wife, Michele now make their home in Summersville and are honored for the
opportunity to serve the communities in and around Nicholas County.
