                WANDA MORRIS DORSEY

    Wanda Morris Dorsey, 80, of Drennen, WV passed
away on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at her home.  Born
September 9, 1938 at Beards Fork, WV, she was a
daughter of the late Ray and Nellie Morris of Whitewater.  
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56
years, Joseph Carl Dorsey.  She was also preceded in
death by one son, Charles Dorsey, her grandson, Allen
McCutcheon; siblings, Lucille Hennessy, Betty Purdue,
Evelyn Jones, Phyllis Hypes, and Bill Morris.

    A loving mother, grandmother, wife, and homemaker,
Wanda was a remarkable cook and enjoyed preparing
meals for her family and friends, most especially over the
holidays.  She had an outgoing nature and could put a
smile on the faces of those around her.  She would
welcome anyone into her home and always had a hug for
those around her.  She had a deep love for children of all
ages and spent many years as a head start teacher
assistant and teacher in Poe, WV, as well as working at
Friends-R-Fun.  She was a member and Sunday school
teacher of the Church of God at Gilboa.

    Survivors include one brother, Frank Morris; her
children, Cathy McCutcheon and husband, David of
Baltimore, MD, Joseph Craig Dorsey and wife, Kim of
Poe, Christopher Dorsey and wife, Esther of Zela, Cara
Dorsey of Summersville, and James Dorsey and wife,
Debbie of Drennen; twelve grandchildren, Chad
McCutcheon, Joseph Clint Dorsey, Anna Philpott, Ashley
Dorsey, Jonathan Dorsey, Emily Tinnel, Rachel Dorsey,
Cathryn Hylton, Garrison Hylton, Michael Dorsey, Sarah
Adkins, and Joseph Rime Dorsey; two great
grandchildren, Isabel and Jack McCutcheon and many
nephews and nieces.

    Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday,
September 8, 2019 in the White Funeral Home at
Summersville with Pastor Arnold Nicholas officiating.  
Interment will follow in the Walker Memorial Park at
Summersville.
    
     Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday one
hour prior to the services.
