                     GAYLE “BUSTER” VANHOY

     Gayle “Buster” Ruben VanHoy, 90, of Summersville,
WV passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at his
home surrounded by his family.  Born July 2, 1927 at
Volney, VA he was a son of the late Fred and Alice Neal
VanHoy.  He was also preceded in death by two
grandsons, Christopher Gayle Winfree and John Ruben
VanHoy; two brothers, Kyle and Lonnie VanHoy.

     He was the previous owner of Van’s Sport Shop,
supervisor with WVDOT, former owner of Briarwood Acres
at Enon, and a former employee of Peters Creek Coal

     Survivors include his wife, Carol Morton VanHoy;
daughters, Nancy and her husband, Joe Thomas,
Jeannie and her husband, Larry Warner, Teresa and her
husband, Terry Winfree; son, John VanHoy; stepchildren,
Chuck Stephenson and his companion Jeanie, Lisa and
her husband, Bill Griffin, Susie and her husband, Ron
Nichols, Beverly and her husband, Mike Haynes; seven
grandchildren; nine step grandchildren; eleven great
grandchildren; four step great grandchildren.

  Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 5,
2017 at 11:00 AM in the Walker Memorial Park in
Summersville with Pastor Denver Danberry officiating.  
Interment will follow at the cemetery under the direction of
the White Funeral Home at Summersville.  There will be
no visitation.
