Matthew Hypes, 27, of Nettie passed away after a
brief illness on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Ruby
Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. Born August 22, 1990
he was a son of James and Tammy Tolley Hypes.
Matthew was a graduate of Richwood High School
and entered the US Navy after where he proudly served
his country for four years. Following his enlistment with
the Navy he worked as a frack technician and supervisor
as well as a truck driver. Matthew also decided to reinlist
in the Army National Guard where he continued to serve
his country until his passing. He enjoyed spending as
much time with his family and friends as possible.
Matthew leaves behind his very loved parents, James
and Tammy Hypes, his cherished sister, Josselyn
Gregory and her husband, Zach and their daughter
Abigail; grandparents, Ann Tolley, Elaine Mowery and
Linda and Russ Hypes. He is also survived by his uncle
Steve Hypes as well as numerous other aunts, uncles
A time of calling in his memory will be held at the
Summersville Armory and Conference Center on
Thursday, November 16, 2017 from Noon to 2 PM. Pastor
Tim Skaggs will lead everyone in Prayer at 2 PM. Private
Interment will follow the services. It was his wishes to be
cremated and cremation and services will be held by the
White Funeral Home at Summersville.
