THOMAS CLIFTON ORNDORFF
Thomas Clifton Orndorff, 87, of Hominy Falls, WV
passed away peacefully surrounded by family on
Sunday, October 30, 2016, at the Beckley VA Medical
Center. He was a beloved Father & Husband who loved
to sing Gospel Hymns so we know he is now singing with
the Angels. He will be greatly missed by everyone who
Tom, Clifton or Huce (whichever name you know) is
survived by Gloria Lee (nee Losch), his wife of 63 years,
his 4 daughters: Marie Rose, husband David & Stepson,
DJ Rose & family, Joyce Orndorff, Marilyn Vonderhaar &
her husband Paul & granddaughter Gloria June and
Carolyn Orndorff Carver. He is also survived by his
brother James and sisters Anna & Phyllis Orndorff; sister-
in-law, Orionoko Orndorff and nephew Dan & his family.
His brothers Victor & Vinton Orndorff are already waiting
for him in heaven. Clifton (Tom) was the youngest son of
Philip Alfred Orndorff & Barbara McCutcheon Orndorff.
He joined the Army and was a Military Police at
Camp Picket, VA. In addition, he was a coal miner,
school bus driver, certified mechanic, canal dredger and
contractor. He could repair anything with the tools he
had at hand. As a Building Contractor who loved building
houses in Ohio, Florida and West Virginia. He built
homes, churches & school buildings for Missions in
Mexico, Haiti, New Mexico & Montana. He sure loved his
loader, tractor & big Trucks. Another favorite past-time
was travel including several driving trips to Alaska, one of
his favorite places. He loved Hominy Falls WV and was
so happy to return for the later years of his life.

Funeral Home in Summersville for a viewing to be held on
Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at
11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at the
White Funeral Home in Summersville with Rev. John
Dykes officiating. Burial will be at the Fairview Cemetery
in Nettie, WV.
