RALPH LYLE CUTLIP
RALPH LYLE CUTLIP, 58 of Milton, WV, suddenly
passed away, March 6, 2016.
He was a retired truck driver and proudly earned a safe
driving award for one million accident free miles. He
attended the Calvary Holiness Chapel in North Charleston.
He was the only child of Freda (Grose) and the late
Grover Cutlip of St. Albans, WV, son-in law of Eugene
(Berta) Gilpin of Ashland, KY. He is also survived by his
wife, LaDonna (Gilpin) Cutlip of Milton, WV. He was a
dedicated father to his 4 children, Melissa “Mo” Cutlip of
Grayson, KY, Jessica “J Cole” Simmons (Brad) of
Buchanan, VA, Leslie “Les” Gilpin (LaDonna) of Dunbar,
WV and Misti “Bear” Cutlip (BJ) of Milton, WV. His pride and
joy were his grandchildren, Joshua Cutlip, Benjamin “Luke”
Young, Sidney and Maddox Morris, Emma Fluharty and
Adella Gilpin. He also leaves behind a host of friends and
While Ralph loved his grandchildren equally, he had a
special place in his heart for his grandson, Luke, they were
inseparable and you rarely saw one without the other. We
would also like to recognize Jim Young, Eric Harper, and
Chris Scarberry who were very special “sons” to Ralph.
He never knew a stranger and was quick to offer a
helping hand. He touched the lives of many.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday,
March 10, 2016 in the White Funeral Home at Summersville
with Rev. Robert Haynes officiating.
Interment will follow in the Grose Cemetery at Summersville.
Friends may call at the Calvary Holiness Chapel in
North Charleston on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
