JOHN CALVIN TULLOH
John Calvin Tulloh, 85, passed away peacefully on December
11, 2014, near Raleigh, NC. He was born April 11, 1929, in Logan,
WV, to parents Rev. Arnold E. and Lelia King Tulloh.
He attended Barboursville High School graduating in 1947.
From there, he played college football for Washington & Lee and
Mississippi State, traveling the world as a Navy officer, marrying
his love Nancy Lee Simons, and working in Clarksburg, WV. He
moved his family to Shelbyville, IN, for his job while serving in the
Naval Reserve and raising three children, and retired to Wilmington,
NC. He will always be remembered for his integrity, work ethic, and
unconditional love of his family. He was a quiet, respectful man
who would enjoy the company of others and was forever supportive
of his children. He will be dearly missed. He was preceded in
death by his wife, Nancy.
He is survived by two sons, Brian (and Sharon) Tulloh of Dallas,
TX and David (and Bridgett) Tulloh of Fuquay-Varina, NC, and a
daughter, Susan Tulloh (and Paul) Schincariol of Vancover, B.C.,
and five grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August
1, 2015 in the Gilgal United Methodist Church at Mt. Nebo with
Pastor Jim O’Brien officiating.
