CRAIG ALTON BURKHOLDER
Craig Alton Burkholder, 50, of Canvas, WV passed
away on Saturday, October 24, 2015. Born February 8,
1965 at Charleston, WV, he was a son of Rowe and Sue
Burkholder of Canvas. He was preceded in death by his
grandparents, Charles and Lillie Bennett and Ora and
Yonnie Burkholder, by a cousin, Marilyn Westfall, and by an
uncle, Ken Hedrick.
He was a member of the Jordan Chapel United
Methodist Church at Canvas, a member of the Canvas
Pioneer 4-H Club belonging to the Seneca Tribe, was a
disabled coal miner, and was a civilian aircraft mechanic for
the Armed Services during the Gulf War.
Survivors include his parents, Rowe and Sue Bennett
Burkholder of Canvas; sisters, Beth Burkholder Moore of
Canvas, Lydia (Bill) Young of Summersville; brother, Eric
(Elizabeth) Burkholder of Canvas; nephews, Nicholas
(Amber) Moore, Wesley (Myra) Moore, great niece, Willow
Moore; nieces, Hilary Young, Lauren Young, Emily
Burkholder, Lillie Burkholder, Rachel Burkholder, and one
future great niece; aunts, Catherine (Richard) Harlow,
Helen Johnson, Becky Hedrick, Ollene Paul, Ruth (Paul)
Chapman; uncle, Charles (Wilma) Bennett, special sister,
Lisa (Stefan) Bergdahl and their two children, Lova and
Jonathan of Sweden, great uncle and aunt, Porter and
Mary Lewis, and several special cousins and a host of
other family and friends.
Memorial services will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday,
October 30, 2015 at the Jordan Chapel United Methodist
Church in Canvas with Pastors Paul Mateer, Damon
Hanshaw, and James Murphy officiating. It was his wishes
to be cremated. Arrangements were made by White
Funeral Home in Summersville.
Friends may call at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m.
until time of services at noon.

Summersville, WV 26651.
